Deep within the superstructure of the New Toronto metropolis, nature begins to reclaim the world that was lost. Despite its name, the enclosed dome habitat capital city of the UEF is old now, and crumbling just like the society living above the lower depths of the city. But despite the damage done to the Earth in the distant past of the Icarus Paradox story, the tenacity of the natural world has appeared again, in pockets where the chemical damages of war and pollution have lessened. For the first time in over a hundred years, living trees grow of their own volition, pushing through centuries of industrial decay in the deep chambers of the city's substructure. Fortunately for Jason, David, Sam and Talos, that means a place to chill out amidst the bustle of their every day struggles.
