Hey there! I've been working in the animation and games industry for over 8 years. I've seen and done a lot, worked with many clients big and small, from individuals to AAA giants. No job is too tough, no revision is too minor.
After years of consistent skills development, I've become a 2D generalist. In no particular order, I have experience doing concept art (characters, creatures, mechs weapons, props, vehicles), storyboards (for TV animation, features and game cinematics), 2D and 3D previsualization reels, digital matte painting, 3D work, compositing, video and audio editing, and general illustration for a variety of projects (the list goes on, but you get the idea).
I've also been heavily involved with the story planning and visual development of various original IPs, including new animated series and games. Most of my freelance work has been for online games, tabletop games, card games, industrial design or voiced video tutorials. Even as a 2D artist, I use 3D to make my work more efficient (2D base/blockouts for environments, kitbashing, using renders to create accurate lighting and perspective in a scene, etc). I've also delved into VR, and use a lot of 3D tools for storyboarding (Blender).
I'm always looking for ways to push myself forward in my various areas of expertise. I'm always looking for challenges, online classes, tutorials, workshops and instructional courses to take to increase my current skillset and add new tools to the arsenal. Plus, it's fun to learn new stuff.
My current future plans involve carrying over my development experience to work on my own ideas/IPs. I've written a first novel, which will be going out for literary agent queries in early 2024, in the hopes of landing a publishing deal. I'm hoping that the book will be the start of a completely new direction for me - though I will never stop working as an artist, if work still exists to be done.
